A Few of our Fantastic Florists....with more to come!

Plant Peddler Floral put together this lovely bouquet. Personally, I love how fresh and yummy it looks - the greens, oranges and yellows are the perfect pick-me-up during the last few weeks of winter!

Ella Bella Couture Floral and Wedding Design designed this centerpiece and place settings. They have a fabulous eye for detail and are definitely always current on color trends. Check out their blog for more fantastic photos of their work!

Love the exotic theme of this centerpiece, created by Kris Bird at Lee's Corner Floral in North Logan. Roxie, her cake artist partner-in-crime, created a striking cake lined with bamboo (edible, of course)! These two really made us all crave an island getaway! (I'd post a picture of Roxie's cake, but mine turned out blurry. I'll try to scout out another photo, but in case I can't find one, I'll come back and post my fuzzy one!)

And The Winner Is......

Lexie!!!! Congratulations to the lucky bride and her groom who won our gigantic wedding giveaway!!! The crowd we had waiting in anticipation was awesome! It was so great to have you all there! I wish we had free weddings to give all of you. I loved reading your essays and really enjoyed meeting so many of you. Thanks to those who came up and introduced themselves. I'd love to see pictures of your weddings as they happen. Send me some photos - or the name of the Wedding Showcase photographer who documents your day and I'll post them on the blog! How fun for all of us! Share some of your wedding tips with us, too.

Check back for photos of some of our florists, who put together some amazing arrangements! Just a reminder to book your florist soon! They can only handle so many weddings and you don't want to settle for anything less than the best, luckily we have a few fantastic florists for you to choose from. Happy planning!!

Where, Oh Where, is the Day After Post?!

For those of you waiting for me to post about the fantastic day we had on Saturday...you will have to wait one more day! It's terrible, isn't it!? It was such a great day and we had such a great time...all of our pro's brought their A-game, without a doubt! We gave away a huge wedding, we had over 200 people packed out into the street praying for their name to be drawn - it was awesome! I hate to make you wait another day...but... my computer is in desperate need of replacement. It's been great, I have loved it, but it really needs to be out of my life. I nearly tossed it out the window today. I have tried for days to load the pictures from the Showcase onto it so that I can post them, but it takes FOREVER and I have to stop it in order to do things like balance my bank account. So I tried again today and I came back to it 4 hours later, and my camera battery was dead...and only 7 pictures had loaded. Short story long, my camera is charging and I'm borrowing a computer tomorrow and will post it all then. Whew! Maybe I'll go visit the Apple store, too. See you tomorrow!

Directions to The Loft

I have received a number of calls/emails on where The Loft is. Let me explain....The Loft is on the corner of Federal Avenue and Church Avenue in Logan. It is diagonal from Caffe Ibis. If you are heading north on Main Street, Federal Avenue is the immediate right turn after Bernina's Stylish Fabrics. Federal Avenue is in the block directly north of the Tabernacle - straight across the street from SE Needham Jewelers. It is between 1st East and Main Street. It is a green building with maroon stripes and there is a parking lot directly across the street from it. There will be a giant metal giraffe outside the entrance, so you can't miss it! If you still have questions - call, email or comment!!!

SEE YOU THERE!!! Oh, and I'll let you in on a secret...one of our people has had something come up and won't be able to make it to the show. Why do I tell you this??? She was our "bouncer!" This means that ALL of you get in for free!!! Hooray! Spread the news and bring your pals!

The Graceful Baker

Over the next few days I am going to introduce you to our fabulous Cake Artists. Make sure that you take the time to visit with them at the Showcase and sample some of their delectables! Besides being extraordinarily talented, they are all very sweet (pun intended!) and you are sure to be pleased with any one that you choose.

Meet Grace Harvel:
Grace graduated with a BFA in Art, and has been making tortes and Italian Meringue Buttercream since she was about 12. She has been a pastry chef for the last 20 years, and has taught Baking at Utah State in the Culinary Arts program for eight years. She says, "I love doing wedding cakes. To be involved on such a happy day is an honor. Each cake is unique and a reflection of the bride, it makes creating them enjoyable."

Here are some photos of her masterpieces:
